(Updated 14.12.2021)

The government has established national and regional measures to delay the spread of the omicron variant of the coronavirus. The measures take effect from 15.12.21 and initially last for 4 weeks.

Information for staff:

  • All employees work from home if it is possible from 15 December.
For the following reasons, you can work at the office in campus (clarify this with the nearest leader):
    - Employees who due to the nature of the work cannot work from home
    - Employees who cannot work at home due to conditions at home / at home
    - Employees who for health reasons have to work in the office
  • Business trips must be risk assessed by the employee and the nearest leader decides the need for the trip based on the risk assessment.
  • We do not conduct events with more than 20 participants
  • We recommend the use of a face mask if it is not possible to keep your distance.

Campus is open. This means that reading rooms, libraries and fitness rooms are still open.

The government demands more use of digital education where possible. The departments must consider which teaching is to be given digitally.

Be aware that there may be changes if we receive new information / clarifications from the authorities, or that local risk assessments change.

The entry regulations have not changed. The main rule is that when you arrive in Norway, a registration form must be completed for entry before arrival and a corona sample must be taken on arrival in the country. Note that there are other rules for those who are not vaccinated. More detailed information can be found here: Coronavirus in Norway: travel to and from abroad - helsenorge.no
